By purchasing a ticket and participating in this event, you agree to the following terms:
What kind of workshop is this?
This is an adult, group-based workshop that includes emotional release and body-based practices. The work is experiential and may involve emotional awareness, internal attention, movement, stillness, reflection, and moments of emotional release. Participants may have any level of prior experience with emotional release, from none to extensive.
Do I need prior experience with emotional release or emotional work?
No prior experience is required. Participants will arrive with a range of backgrounds. The workshop is structured to support both those who are newer to emotional release and those with more experience, with an emphasis on personal choice and self-pacing.
Will I be required to share personal information or speak in front of the group?
No. Sharing is always optional. You will never be required to disclose something you do not wish to disclose. Participation can be internal, nonverbal, or observational if that feels more supportive. We, of course, encourage vulnerability and to share in the intake form if you sense it is relevant and important.
Is physical contact involved?
Physical contact is never required. Any exercises involving proximity or interaction are always optional, and alternatives will be available.
Is eye contact required?
No. Eye contact is always optional. You are welcome to keep your eyes open or closed and to orient visually in whatever way supports you.
What if I feel overwhelmed or need a break?
You are encouraged to pace yourself throughout the day. You may pause, modify an exercise, or step out of the room at any time. Participants are responsible for noticing their own limits and responding accordingly.
How accessible is the workshop?
The workshop is designed with flexibility in mind and welcomes a range of nervous systems and capacities. Participants are encouraged to bring any personal supports they need (e.g., cushions, chairs, sensory tools). While facilitators aim to create an inclusive environment, we are not able to provide individualized accommodations beyond the group structure.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, layered clothing suitable for movement and stillness. Choose clothing you feel at ease sitting, standing, or lying down in. Warm socks are welcome.
What should I bring?
A closed, sealable water bottle (please keep it along the edge of the room and off the mats)
Any personal regulation or comfort items (e.g., cushion, warm layers, sensory tools)
Any specific equipment you require for physical support (e.g., a chair), as availability cannot be guaranteed
Food will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.
What food should I bring?
Please bring a light lunch or eat lightly if you go out as the days will be quite cathartic and it's best to feel nourished and grounded yet mobile.
You are welcome to bring your own food, there will be a fridge where you can store something if its very necessary (limited space)
There are a handful of options that are 5 min. walking distance from the location
What are the arrival and end times?
Arrival: 9:45 (to allow time to settle in and sign in)
Start: 10:00
End: 18:00
Please plan to arrive on time and stay for the full day to support the group process.
Can I leave early or arrive late?
Because this is a group-based experience, consistent attendance supports both your experience and the group as a whole. If you anticipate needing to arrive late or leave early, please contact the organizers in advance.
Is this workshop appropriate for me right now?
This workshop is intended for adults who are able to take responsibility for their own regulation in an emotionally immersive group setting. If, after reviewing the materials or completing the intake form, you realize this may not be the right fit for you at this time, we encourage you to reach out to the organizers prior to the event.
Who can I contact if I have additional questions?
If you have logistical questions or need clarification before the workshop, please reach out to info@emotionalrelease.academy
